Hillside Family of Agencies earns COA reaccreditation

COA logoRochester, NY-April 28, 2010- Hillside Family of Agencies has been reaccredited through April 30, 2014 by the Council on Accreditation (COA), a national association that accredits public agencies and private providers of child and family services and behavioral health services.

“COA reaccreditation is a significant achievement for our organization and one of which we are extremely proud. Reaccreditation attests that Hillside Family of Agencies continues to meet the highest national standards. It also provides assurance that our dedicated staff members are providing services children and families need in a dignified, respectful, and effective manner,” said Dennis Richardson, Hillside Family of Agencies president and CEO.

According to COA, the reaccrediation process is “an objective and reliable verification that provides confidence and support to an organization’s service recipients, board members, staff, and community partners.”

The process involves a detailed review and analysis of both an organization’s administrative operations and its service delivery practices. All are measured against national standards of best practice. These standards emphasize services that are accessible, appropriate, culturally responsive, evidence-based, and outcomes-oriented.

As a result of the reaccreditation, Hillside Family of Agencies is also a part of COA’s Community of Excellence.
